Judges

GINA PINK, England (Head Judge)
Profile of Gina Pink, KCAI HTM*, Ob
I have been competing with my dogs in Heelwork to Music in the UK since 1996. In 2002 our Kennel Club recognised our sport but it was not until 2006 that we saw the first official competition at Crufts.  In 2007 I won the Crufts HTM division and since then I have competed with my dog Magic Combination until he retired in 2013.  In 2010 I judged the Crufts HTM, Freestyle, International and Young Kennel Club finals in 2010 and will be doing so again in 2015.
In 2010 I captained the first UK Heelwork to Music and Freestyle Team at the World Show in Denmark and was pleased to celebrate our overall 2nd place in the competition.
I have competed in both HTM and Freestyle with a number of dogs of different breeds as well as collies, and still hold the record for having the first German Spitz to compete in the HTM division at Advanced level.
I have always considered myself privileged to have owned the dogs I have both had in the past and live with now because each one has taught me something new about our canine family and  how to train them.
I became the second Kennel Club Accredited Instructor in Heelwork to Music at Advanced level in 2012 in the UK and I also teach around the world.

I would like to wish all of the competitors in the Nordics Championships 2014 every success and fun with your dogs.

KAROLINA PETTERSSON, Sweeden

NINA HAALAND, Norway (Saturday)
My name is Nina Haaland and I have been involved in Freestyle and Heelwork to Music for the past thirteen years. In March 2005 I took the initiative to start the Norwegian Freestyle Association. I was the president the first two years, then a member in the board for a couple of years, and now I am a proud honorary member of the association. I have been a judge since Freestyle and HTM were approved as canine sports in Norway on January 1. 2010.

I work full time with dogs as an instructor and behavioral consultant at my dog school "Hund i Fokus". I have two dogs myself: Jack, a retired 10,5 year old German Shepherd mix and Müsli, a smooth faced Pyrenean Sheepdog, 1,5 years old. Jack was retired early due to medication and Müsli is still not ready to compete, so I have not competed after the sport was approved in Norway in 2010. I also train my dogs in different types of searching (tracking, chanterelle search etc). I also have two horses, a cat and a human family (daughter and husband).

I am honored to be one of the judges in the Nordic Championship, and looking forward to see all the great teams performing. I wish all participants and organizers good Luck!

TONE M. LANGFJÆRAN, Norway (Sunday)
My name is Tone Matsen Langfjæran. I'm 54 years of age and live with my husband and our three dogs in Holmestrand. My profession is psychologist.
I grew up with a boxer, but I didn't get my own dog before 2001. It had to be a boxer of course! To day we have one boxer and two french bulldogs and we work a little with dogbreeding (Kennel Luckydance).

In 2007, I started with Canine Freestyle. The dogs and I love to dance. I think thats why creative obedience has been a good choice for all of us. I have been a judge for about two years.

In addition to be a judge and a trainer in creative obedience, I currently compete with one of my french bulldogs.

I feel honored to be a judge at the Nordic Championship. I'm really looking forward to see all the competitors. Good luck to all!
